Greetings from the middle of nowhere! I'm close to the end of my 2nd week of placement in Broken Hill (I talked about it here) and it's been a week full of highs and lows. Some really strange things have also been happening while I'm here, but I won't go into detail about it because seriously, you guys will just think I'm nuts.
In the past two weeks, I've:

- Driven for 4 hours straight at 110km/h
- Ridden on a horse bareback
- Ridden on a camel
- Cooked dinner for 8 people without giving anyone explosive diahorrea
- Learnt how to play poker and cleaned everyone up twice (huhu)
- Realised that I cannot stand whiny bitches who act like princesses
But this is such a good opportunity to test run me potentially working in Boston next year. I'm so close to securing the job and it scares me when I think about being away from Jonathon and my family for so long :( any advice on how to get through?

Let me tell you guys something - there's a huge age gap between 21 and 22. Feeling like I've just turned 30! Before you know it, I'll be 25, then married with kids at 30, then the big 5-0, then I'll be 60 and become presbyopic, then I'll probably need cataract surgery at 70, then I'll die. Wow, that was morbid. Maybe it's the fact that I have clinical placement tomorrow and I'll be ALL ALONE because my supervising orthoptist is away and I'm freaking out! But that's for another post...
I had a low key celebration with my close friends today (still recovering from the stress of planning two 21st parties). My always wonderful boyfriend organised everything without me knowing. I had tacos for the first time at El Loco today. $5 tacos and nachos, amazing! Check out their menu here! I had the beef and chicken ones, delish.
Mum surprised me with the leather Pandora bracelet I wanted (but reluctant to spend money on)!

Another exam done and dusted! Just two more to go until America! I'm also meeting up with the girls on Friday before I head off so another outing to look forward to :)

Back to university today after the midsem break. It was such a struggle to get up this morning, no joke. I think my lecturer might have been feeling a little lazy as well because we had half of the class outside :D
Went to Rannie's house during the 3 hour break we have every Monday and he made us breakfast/lunch. Sausage and egg on English muffins, yummo!

- Easter Saturday - Lisa Wong's 21st. My friends and I spent the night doing Ellen's Dance Dare on unsuspecting people. The other guests probably think we were weirdos. And because my family is on holidays, I had no curfew! It was FANTASTIC. My friends and I went to my university at night (such nerds) and went a little psycho. Fantastic, SO FANTASTIC.
- Easter Sunday - my friends came over to my house for a good feed/drink up. Dance Central, Twister, random dancing - it was FANTASTIC EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC. Except we didn't drink that much, everyone is getting old and can't handle their shots anymore, haha!
- Easter Monday - this day was a blur. I went to bed at 3am the night before and my friend Chris woke up at 6am and woke the rest of us up. So what I remember is going to my boyfriend's house, him putting on Superman Returns, and me conking out and snoring.

Despite all the work my lecturers have been giving me, I'm very excited because my parents are going on holidays for 2 weeks on Friday! That means the house to myself (well, my grandpa will be home but he's cool) just in time for the Easter long weekend. My friends will be coming over and staying the night for round 2 of our Easter drinkup (round 1 was last year; ahhh memories).
I also just bought a Kindle!
I was going to name it Kent (K for Kindle, K for Kent. Geddit?) but my nerdy boyfriend started calling it Clark Kent so now it's Clark. I never knew how awesome a Kindle is, it's so much easier to read books now! I already finished The Hunger Games (the new Harry Potter? I don't think so) and I'm super excited about getting Meg Cabot books! I love Meg Cabot!

Today was my awesome manager Effie's last day at the Parramatta store. She's been transferred (against her will, I might add. As are many other people but that's a different story that I won't go into because I will start raging) to Blacktown. She's been one of the most supportive and best managers I've ever had in my 2+ years with the company. I will miss you so much, Effie :( :( :(
I've also had a weird obsession with animal hats over the last few days. I bought a Domo hat yesterday and bought a wolf long with mittens today. Am I game enough to wear them to uni? HELLS YEAH. As a friend told me last night, confidence is key ;)
